Frequently Asked Question
Opting out of spraying is not an option at this time, though we are investigating to see if it might be in the future.
Spraying by helicopter is the only cost-effective means of covering Gold Key property, and Pike County also believes it is the most effective. The grant of $10,000 from Pike County that Gold Key is hoping to obtain stipulates that spraying must be done only by helicopter (i.e, not by drone or by hand). Precise spraying to avoid specific lots while covering all others is likely not possible by helicopter, though we are discussing this with the applicator, and will provide an update if so.
